Semi-custom RTX 5090 for server airflow

PELADN had an unexpected GeForce RTX 5090 card on display at Computex. The card uses a blower-style cooler and a dual-slot layout, which is rare for RTX 5090-class hardware. The card features standard configuration with 21,760 CUDA cores, 32GB of GDDR7 memory and a 512-bit memory bus. The card is also listed with a 575W power rating and a single 16-pin power connector.

Not for gaming (obviously)

The design appears to be aimed at workstation or server systems where multiple cards are installed close to each other. A blower cooler exhausts air out of the chassis, which makes more sense for dense systems than an open-air triple-fan cooler.

NVIDIA would probably not be pleased to see this card displayed publicly. As far as we know, board partners cannot simply release blower-style GeForce RTX cards without NVIDIA approval. That would make this design a semi-custom card rather than a normal PELADN retail model.

Well since I wasn’t aware of this product I double-checked and the company’s official RTX 50 series page currently only lists RTX 5060 and RTX 5050 models. There is no RTX 5090 listed on the site, and nothing above RTX 5060 appears in the RTX 50 lineup.

We have already seen blower-style RTX 5090 cards appear in China for AI and server use. Some of those cards are reportedly built by moving GPUs and memory from gaming cards to new PCBs. PELADN showing one at Computex is still unusual, especially with its branding and a public spec card next to the product. I just wonder if they source the GPUs from NVIDIA (which I think is impossible) or they use 3rd party gaming cards as donors.
