Corsair shows AX1600i SHIFT and transparent HX1000i SHIFT CRYSTAL power supplies

SHIFT layout reaches Corsair’s high-end PSU lineup

Corsair has shown two new high-end power supplies at Computex 2026, both built around its SHIFT layout. The new AX1600i SHIFT brings side-mounted modular connectors to Corsair’s 1600W consumer flagship class, while the HX1000i SHIFT CRYSTAL adds a transparent side panel to a 1000W digital PSU.

The AX1600i SHIFT is the more powerful model. Corsair lists it as an ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 power supply with Cybenetics Titanium certification, GaN technology and a fully modular design. The unit has two native 12V-2×6 connectors, each rated for up to 600W.

Corsair says the AX1600i SHIFT uses Japanese 105°C capacitors, a 140mm fluid dynamic bearing fan and Zero RPM fan mode. The PSU is 170mm long, which is compact for a 1600W unit. Corsair also confirms iCUE LINK support and USB connectivity for monitoring and control.

Transparent PSU returns from prototype stage

The second model is the HX1000i SHIFT CRYSTAL , a 1000W PSU with a transparent side casing. Corsair first showed this design as a prototype at Computex 2025. The company is now listing full specifications for the model.

The HX1000i SHIFT CRYSTAL is an ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 unit with Cybenetics Platinum certification. It has one native 12V-2×6 connector, a 140mm magnetic dome bearing fan, Zero RPM mode and iCUE software control.

Corsair also added PinProtect+ to the HX1000i SHIFT CRYSTAL. This feature provides per-pin over-current protection for the native 90-degree 12V-2×6 cable and shows cable current monitoring through iCUE. This follows the company’s recent focus on GPU power cable protection.

The two models target different systems. The AX1600i SHIFT is the new high-wattage option for builds using multiple power-hungry components. The HX1000i SHIFT CRYSTAL is clearly aimed at display builds, where the PSU itself is visible through the case.

Well, I can’t imagine how dirty the CRYSTAL verison will be after a year.

Corsair has not confirmed pricing yet. The company’s Computex page lists Q4 availability for the AX1600i SHIFT, although the release window is still subject to change.
