PowerColor displays Red Devil and HellHound GPUs with UV artwork
PC UV lights are so 90s, though.
PowerColor has brought several custom Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards to Computex 2026. According to TechPowerUp, the cards are prototypes based on existing Red Devil, HellHound, and Reaper designs, but with UV-reactive artwork added to their backplates.
The first prototype uses a cherry blossom design. Another card is called “She Wears Red ” and is based on the Red Devil series, with an abstract red-themed illustration across the backplate.
The most detailed prototype is called “ Relics that Still Burn.” This design uses Egyptian-style symbols etched into the backplate. The grooves are filled with UV-reactive paint, so the artwork becomes visible under ultraviolet light. I’m not sure how many of you still have UV lights in their PCs, but perhaps it’s time for their comeback?

PowerColor also showed a design called “The Architecture.” This one is based on the Radeon RX 9070 XT HellHound Spectral White and uses artwork inspired by a bare PCB. Under UV lighting, the printed circuit pattern becomes more visible.
It’s not clear if PowerColor will launch them for sale, but the company is no stranger to backplate customizations. PowerColor already experimented with replaceable backplate skins on the Radeon RX 9070 XT Red Devil Special Edition, which was covered earlier .
