NVIDIA RTX 50 SUPER refresh reportedly returns to active plans

MEGAsizeGPU says RTX 5070 SUPER and RTX 5080 SUPER specs remain unchanged.

According to MEGAsizeGPU, NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 SUPER refresh is back on track. The leaker now claims that the lineup also includes a GeForce RTX 5060 12GB , although this model may still launch under another name, such as GeForce RTX 5060 SUPER.

NVIDIA has not confirmed any RTX 50 SUPER graphics cards. MEGAsizeGPU also said there is no specific launch window yet, but he believes the cards are still planned for 2026. In a reply, he added that RTX 5070 SUPER and RTX 5080 SUPER specs are the same as in previous leaks.

NVIDIA and 3GB GDDR7 memory

The refresh is still expected to focus mainly on memory capacity. Earlier rumors listed GeForce RTX 5080 SUPER with 24GB of GDDR7 memory, RTX 5070 Ti SUPER with 24GB, and RTX 5070 SUPER with 18GB. These configurations would rely on 3GB GDDR7 modules instead of the 2GB chips used by current models.

RTX 50 Super is back on track. This time includes 5060 12G ( or maybe it will have a new name as 5060 super )

The RTX 5060 12GB claim is new in this latest update, but this configuration was already technically possible. A 128-bit card with four 3GB GDDR7 modules would reach 12GB without reducing the bus width. This would be different from earlier rumors about 9GB RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 Ti variants, which would use a 96-bit memory layout.

NVIDIA pauses and restarts RTX 50 SUPER plans

Earlier this year, the RTX 50 SUPER refresh had reportedly been put on hold. The delay was linked to compute GPU demand and memory availability. MEGAsizeGPU now says the memory situation is still not resolved, but claims this will not be an issue for NVIDIA because AIC partners will receive GPU and VRAM bundles from the company.

NVIDIA has never publicly confirmed the release of RTX 50 SUPER. The company has spent 3/4 of its GTC/Computex keynote talking about AI and the rest about RTX Spark. There was no discussion about GeForce GPUs.
