In 2016 , the studio also worked on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants In Manhattan , and it seems like the Japanese developer wasn't done with the franchise, as they are working on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin .

The new action game was announced today during Summer Game Fest with a short teaser showcasing just enough to get players excited . Sadly, no release window nor platforms have been confirmed, suggesting that the game could still be in early development .

Based on the legendary graphic novel series, Paramount Games Studio and iconic action game developer PlatinumGames present Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. In a future, battle-ravaged New York City, a lone surviving Turtle embarks on a seemingly hopeless mission seeking justice for the family he lost.

As already mentioned, PlatinumGames worked on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan before Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin , but despite plenty of promise, the game proved to be somewhat disappointing , lacking the depth the studio's games are known for. Hopefully, for The Last Ronin , PlatinumGames will take better advantage of the IP to deliver a high-quality game on the level of Ninja Gaiden 4 , their latest game released last year on PC and consoles.
