Microsoft reveals translucent Xbox Series X25 for Xbox’s 25th anniversary
Microsoft is preparing a new limited edition Xbox console and controller to mark 25 years of Xbox.
The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition keeps the same performance level as the standard Xbox Series X, including 1TB of storage. The difference is the chassis design. Microsoft is using a translucent “OG Green” finish inspired by the original Xbox console.
The console includes a green illuminated “X” and an Xbox 25th Anniversary logo on the front. Microsoft says there are also other design elements referencing classic Xbox hardware, although it has not shown all details yet.

The Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition will use the same translucent green design. Microsoft says the controller includes original ABXY colors, green accents and bumpers that reference the black and white buttons from the original “Duke” controller.
The rear shell and battery door are fully transparent. This exposes the classic Xbox logo inside the controller. Microsoft says the console and controller will launch together in select markets in November. The controller will also be sold separately. Pricing and preorder details have not been announced yet.
