FSP shows 3300W CANNON PSU

FSP has brought another high-wattage desktop-class power supply to Computex, this time under its CANNON series. The new model is rated at 3300W and is aimed at AI computing systems, workstations and multi-GPU builds rather than typical gaming PCs.
Six native GPU power connectors
The CANNON 3300W follows the ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards and includes six native 12V-2×6 connectors . This means the unit can power several high-end graphics cards without relying on adapter cables. FSP lists the PSU with 80 Plus Platinum and Cybenetics Platinum efficiency ratings.

The company is using GaN technology for the new CANNON unit, which allows the PSU to fit into a 150 × 200 × 86 mm enclosure. The design also uses four 450V 105°C Japanese capacitors and conformal coating to protect against moisture, dust and stains. According to Computex coverage, this coating is now being added across more of FSP’s high-end power supply lineup.
A system with one graphics card will not need this much power. The target market is local AI, rendering, workstation and developer systems with multiple accelerators and high-core-count CPUs.

This is not the first PSU with six 12V-2×6 connectors that we have seen. Last year we reported on Seasonic’s PRIME PX-3200 , a 3200W ATX 3.1 model with six 12V-2×6 connectors and connector monitoring features. FSP is now pushing the same general idea with a slightly higher 3300W rating and a stronger focus on AI workstations.
FSP also showed new MEGA, TWINS, VITA, VIC and DAGGER power supplies at Computex. The MEGA TI 1650W is closer to high-end gaming systems, with two 12V-2×6 connectors and a fully modular design. The TWINS PRO series brings redundant power to workstation builds, with models reaching up to 1400W and support for hot-swapping, PMBus, USB and FSP Guardian monitoring.
