This year's Xbox Games Showcase was a good one for fans of the Persona series, as the presentation delivered not only the first proper look and release date for Persona 4 Revival , but also dropped the official announcement of the next main entry in the series, Persona 6 .

Unfortunately, the roughly 1-minute-long teaser showed very little of the game, preferring to go all-in in the eeriest atmosphere we have seen for the series to date, surpassing even the cryptic Persona 5 teaser with its question challenging players to break their chains and obtain emancipation and freedom. Even worse, the teaser did not reveal a release window for the game, suggesting it may not be ready for a 2027 launch.

With the teaser trailer being so disappointing after a 10-year wait , earlier leaks remain the first proper look at Persona 6 . Hopefully, we will see more of the game soon enough and better understand how bold this new story will be and if the game will indeed be a semi-open-world experience with more flexible Social Links as rumored.
