NVIDIA RTX 50 SUPER refresh reportedly waiting for 3GB GDDR7 chips
BenchLife expects the update in early 2027.
BenchLife now says NVIDIA’s rumored GeForce RTX 50 SUPER refresh may appear at CES 2027. This is later than the 2026 window mentioned earlier. The RTX 50 SUPER rumors recently got back on and now reportedly includes a GeForce RTX 5060 12GB model.
These cards will use 3GB GDDR7 memory chips . This would allow NVIDIA to increase memory capacity without changing the bus width. Earlier rumors listed a GeForce RTX 5080 SUPER with 24GB, a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti SUPER with 24GB, and a GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER with 18GB.
Benchlife on potential release date
BenchLife recently covered the GeForce RTX 5060 12GB rumors and included a small extra detail. The site often adds these notes when covering related leaks, and they are usually tied to internal source information.
To be clear, we do not have any information about an updated NVIDIA roadmap. Based on what MEGAsizeGPU also said, there is no confirmed timeline for the RTX 50 SUPER refresh. For now, it seems BenchLife’s CES 2027 expectation is based on industry chatter, perhaps from board partners.
However, in our understanding, the GeForce RTX 50 Super series graphics cards with 3GB GDDR7 memory chips will be released as early as the beginning of 2027, which is CES 2027.

2026: The boring GPU year
NVIDIA has not confirmed any GeForce RTX 50 SUPER graphics cards. The company also did not discuss new GeForce desktop cards at Computex 2026, where its public messaging focused on AI hardware and RTX Spark.
This timing would also place the RTX 50 SUPER refresh ahead of the next full GPU generation. A recent report based on comments from AMD board partners at Computex, suggested that RDNA 5 graphics cards may arrive between Q2 and Q3 2027, while another partner reportedly considered late 2027 or early 2028 more realistic. That would leave both AMD and NVIDIA with longer desktop GPU cycles than usual.
If RDNA 5 is really coming this late, then NVIDIA has plenty of room for an RTX 50 SUPER refresh. Perhaps more than anyone would like to see. This year does not appear to be really interesting to GPU enthusiasts, but hopefully the 50 SUPER timeline will be adjusted.
