Steam Frame Welcome Tour demoed with Valve Index
Valve’s Steam Frame software has appeared online through what is said to be an early Welcome Tour video.
The clip was posted on Reddit by user gogodboss and is credited to LabeVR. The post says the footage was recorded on a Valve Index, so this is not a direct capture from the unreleased Steam Frame headset.

The video appears to show the first-run tutorial users will see when setting up Steam Frame. According to Notebookcheck, the footage includes part of the controller setup, a guide for opening and hiding the interface, and a prompt asking whether the headset should connect to a PC.

The interface is based on SteamOS and looks close to Steam Big Picture Mode. This fits Valve’s existing plan for Steam Frame as a standalone headset that can also stream games from a PC. The clip does not appear to reveal any new hardware details.
One unfinished part of the software still refers to Steam Frame by its old “Deckard” codename. Placeholder text and incomplete UI elements are also visible, which suggests the Welcome Tour is still being worked on.
Valve confirmed a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, 256GB or 1TB UFS storage, dual 2160×2160 LCD panels, 72Hz to 144Hz refresh rate, eye tracking, Wi-Fi 7, and a 21.6 Wh battery.
