NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix 610.52 brings fixes for Smooth Motion, G-SYNC and monitor sleep issues

NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix 610.52 fixes G-SYNC, EDID and Smooth Motion issues

Based on Game Ready 610.47.

NVIDIA has released GeForce Hotfix Display Driver 610.52 for Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems. This is not a new WHQL driver branch, but a targeted hotfix based on the Game Ready 610.47 release.

The driver fixes several display-related issues. NVIDIA says the update resolves a frame pacing problem on Ada GPUs when G-SYNC is enabled on certain monitors. It also fixes an EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) issue where some monitors could be detected as “NVIDIA NV-Failsafe.”

The hotfix also includes f ixes for monitor wake issues. According to NVIDIA, some monitors would not wake from sleep mode before this update. Multi-monitor gaming stability with V-SYNC and DLSS Frame Generation has also been improved.

Smooth Motion receives two fixes in this release. NVIDIA says the driver resolves jittering or ghosting in some DirectX 11 games when Smooth Motion is enabled. It also fixes crashes in certain games launched with Smooth Motion enabled.

World of Warcraft is also listed in the changelog with gaming stability improvements. NVIDIA also notes general stability improvements for cases where the system fails to create a new allocation.

NVIDIA says hotfix drivers are optional and provided as-is. The company recommends waiting for the next WHQL-certified driver if users are not affected by the listed issues.
