GEEKOM GeekBook M16 launches with Meteor Lake CPU and 99.9Wh battery
GEEKOM is launching another laptop under its GeekBook brand. The company is promoting the GeekBook M16 as a high-performance business laptop with Intel Core Ultra 9 branding, 55W sustained power and a 99.9Wh battery.
The product page lists the system at $899 for the Core Ultra 9 185H configuration with 16GB of LPDDR5 memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen4 SSD. GEEKOM is also showing a $100 pre-order code, which would bring the price closer to the $800 figure. This is the typical day-1 fake promotion, where prices usually never reach the ‘original’ price after launch. The company says shipping is expected in late June.
Meteor Lake, not a new platform
The exact CPU SKU is the part GEEKOM does not seem too eager to show. The product page mostly uses “Intel Core Ultra 9” branding, while the actual “U9-185H” name appears much lower on the page and in the configuration selector. That confirms the laptop uses the Core Ultra 9 185H, a Series 1 Meteor Lake processor , not Arrow Lake or Panther Lake. Intel lists it as a 16-core, 22-thread mobile processor with boost clocks up to 5.1 GHz and a 45W base power.
There is nothing wrong with the CPU itself. The weird part is how GEEKOM markets the system around the generic Core Ultra 9 name instead of the actual SKU, which would make it clear this is an older Intel platform.

This makes the M16 a step back from the GeekBook X14 Pro and X16 Pro that GEEKOM showed last year. Those models were listed with Intel Core Ultra 200H “Arrow Lake-H” processors, including the Core Ultra 9 285H, according to our earlier coverage .
The rest of the specification is fairly clear. The GeekBook M16 has a 16-inch 1920×1200 display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 60Hz refresh rate. It also includes Intel Arc integrated graphics, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, HDMI 2.0, USB4 at 40 Gbps, a second full-featured USB-C port, two USB-A ports, a 1080p webcam with a physical privacy slider and Windows 11 Pro.
GEEKOM says the GeekBook M16 can sustain up to 55W through its own Dynamic Tuning Technology. The company also claims up to 24 hours of Wi-Fi use and around 20 hours of local video playback from the 99.9Wh battery. As usual with battery claims, those numbers will depend on workload, brightness and power mode.
As for the title, left is Apple MacBook and the right is Geekom marketing material.
