AYN warns of higher Thor and Odin 3 handheld prices later this month

AYN plans another Thor and Odin 3 price increase

Batch 7 Thor and Batch 8 Odin 3 orders still use UFS 3.1 storage.

AYN is preparing another price increase for its Thor and Odin 3 Android handhelds. The company has opened Thor Batch 7 and Odin 3 Batch 8 pre-orders, but it also warned customers that pricing will rise later this month.

According to an AYN Discord message quoted by Retro Handhelds, the company is “planning a price increase for both Thor and Odin 3 later this month.” The new prices will take effect once the current inventory allocation sells out.

The same message confirms that the new pre-order batch will continue to use UFS 3.1 storage. AYN’s own Thor page lists all five variants with UFS 3.1 storage, including the Snapdragon 865 Lite model and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Max 1TB model. The page also says Batch 7 shipping starts in August.

Hey everyone! The 7th pre-order batch for Thor and 8th pre-order batch for Odin 3 are now live and available starting today! We also wanted to give everyone an early heads-up that we’re planning a price increase for both Thor and Odin 3 later this month. The new pricing will take effect once the current inventory allocation is sold through, so if you’ve been thinking about picking one up, now would be a great time to place your order. A few quick notes:

✅This new pre-order batch will continue to use UFS 3.1 storage.

📦Orders from this batch are expected to begin shipping in August.

As always, thank you all for the amazing support and enthusiasm. We can’t wait to get these devices into your hands!

AYN’s Odin 3 page also lists UFS 3.1 storage for Batch 8. The handheld uses Qualcomm Dragonwing Q8, a 6-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, Android 15, an 8000 mAh battery and Hall sticks. AYN says Batch 8 shipping starts in August.

Current Thor pricing starts at $249 for the Lite model with Snapdragon 865, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Base model costs $319, Pro costs $399, Max 16GB/512GB costs $469 and Max 16GB/1TB costs $549. Current Odin 3 pricing starts at $339 for the Base model, followed by $439 for Pro, $489 for Max and $519 for Ultra, although the Ultra is currently out of stock.

Not the first price increase

We covered AYN’s earlier March price update , when Thor and Odin 3 prices increased by $10 to $40 depending on the configuration. AYN later raised the Thor Max 1TB to $549 and added a 16GB/512GB Max model at $469 while moving new pre-orders from UFS 4.0 to UFS 3.1 storage.
