Intel Graphics 2 Xe3 tested in Lenovo IdeaPad 5i convertible
2-core Panther Lake iGPU is 13% behind 4-core Meteor Lake graphics.
Notebookcheck has tested the Lenovo IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 14 with Intel Core Ultra 5 322 . This is one of the first looks at Intel Graphics 2 Xe3, the entry-level integrated GPU from the Panther Lake series. The configuration tested here uses only 16 shader units, which makes it the smallest Xe3 option currently shown in laptop testing.
The results show limited gaming performance, but the numbers are not as bad as Notebookcheck’s title may suggest (it literaly says: “Warning: Stay away from Intel’s Graphics 2 Xe3”). In its 3DMark performance rating, Graphics 2 Xe3 scored 35.6 points. That puts it 13% behind the 4-core Intel graphics used by the Core Ultra 5 115U system , which scored 40.9 points.

The same test puts AMD’s Radeon 840M at 48.4 points. This means Intel’s 2-core Xe3 configuration is 26% slower than AMD’s entry-level RDNA 3.5 iGPU in this comparison. It also sits above Radeon 820M territory, according to Notebookcheck, but clearly below the faster Radeon 860M class.
Don’t even think about games
Notebookcheck says the iGPU is still enough for older or less demanding games such as Dota 2. Newer games are usually too demanding at 1920×1080 with minimum settings. That is expected for this class of chip, as this is not the Arc-branded Panther Lake configuration with more Xe cores.

Only two SKUs use this configuration in the Panther Lake family: 322 and 332. However, such a config can also be found in the Wildcat Lake series: 360, 320. There’s even a worse config featuring only one Xe3 core in 305 and 304, you probably want to avoid these.
