ASUS RX 9070 GRE Prime EVO listed with 2.5-slot triple-fan cooler
ASUS lists Radeon RX 9070 GRE Prime EVO, same specs in a smaller cooler.
ASUS has listed a new Prime Radeon RX 9070 GRE EVO graphics card. This is the second Prime model based on AMD’s 12GB GRE SKU, following the PRIME-RX9070GRE-O12G.
The EVO model does not change the core specifications. ASUS lists the same 3072 Stream Processors, 12GB of GDDR6 memory, 18 Gbps memory speed and 192-bit memory bus.
Both Prime RX 9070 GRE cards run at up to 2860 MHz boost and up to 2280 MHz game clock in default mode. With GPU Tweak III OC mode, ASUS lists up to 2880 MHz boost and up to 2300 MHz game clock.
The main difference is the physical size. The standard Prime RX 9070 GRE measures 312 x 130 x 50 mm, while the EVO model is listed at 304 x 126 x 50 mm. Both cards keep a 2.5-slot design and are marked as SFF Ready compatible.
The display output configuration is also unchanged. Both cards include one HDMI 2.1b connector and three DisplayPort 2.1a connectors. ASUS recommends a 650W power supply and lists two 8-pin power connectors for both models.
We have already seen ASUS apply a similar EVO refresh to the Prime Radeon RX 9070 series. In that case, the EVO model kept the same main specifications but used a slightly revised board and cooler design.
The Radeon RX 9070 GRE launched globally this month as a cut-down Navi 48 card with 48 Compute Units, 3072 Stream Processors and 12GB of GDDR6 memory. AMD set the global starting price at $549, placing it in the same launch price bracket as the Radeon RX 9070 non-XT. ASUS lists PRIME non-EVO at $579.
