MINIX ER939-AI Pro 2-liter mini workstation features Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and 128GB memory
No, that’s not a new designer’s suitcase, although the price may suggest just that. MINIX has launched the ER939-AI Pro in Japan, a new version of its Ryzen AI Max+ 395 mini workstation. The system is distributed at 698,000 yen, which converts to around $4,356.
The new Pro model is not the same as the ER939-AI model which we covered a few months ago. That version is has a single 2.5G Ethernet port. The Pro model upgrades networking to two 10G LAN ports.
AMD Strix Halo on board
The ER939-AI Pro uses AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU. This chip has 16 Zen 5 cores, 32 threads, Radeon 8060S integrated graphics and an NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS.
MINIX pairs the APU with 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory and a 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. The memory is onboard and cannot be upgraded. The system has two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, with one already occupied by the included SSD.
The system supports up to four displays through HDMI 2.1 FRL, DisplayPort 1.4 and two USB4 ports. Each display output is listed with up to 8K 60Hz support. Other connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports and an SD card slot.

So in short, the Pro verison now gives that design a dual-10G configuration, although pricing remains above most Ryzen AI Max+ 395 mini PCs currently listed. Pricing is as always (for Halo) in eyewatering area.
