To infinity and beyond
The card is listed as an in-store pickup-only product, although the listing currently shows no pickup or shipping availability. The AORUS INFINITY is Gigabyte’s 40th anniversary GeForce RTX 5090 design. It uses a dual-fan layout with a double flow-through cooler, a hidden “Overdrive” fan design, Hawk fans, composite metal grease and superconducting heat pipes. Gigabyte lists the card with a 2730 MHz core clock, which is higher than the 2407 MHz reference clock.

The rest of the specification follows NVIDIA’s full RTX 5090 configuration. The card has 21760 CUDA cores, 32GB of GDDR7 memory at 28 Gbps, a 512-bit bus, three DisplayPort 2.1b outputs and one HDMI 2.1b output. Gigabyte lists the card size as 330 × 145 × 65 mm and recommends a 1000W power supply with one 16-pin connector.
Gigabyte has since expanded its RTX 5090 lineup with several other models, including 5080 and 5070 series. The 5090 INFINITY sits at the top of that stack as a limited 40th anniversary model rather than a regular high-volume card, so I’m not sure if SKUS below 5090 will be any cheaper.
This pricing puts the INFINITY into the ultra-premium RTX 5090 segment. It appears to target a narrow group of enthusiasts who want the specific cooler design and anniversary branding. At this price, we had MSI LIGHTNING or ASUS ROG MATRIX . The latter launched at $4000, and it seemed like an absurd price at the time.
No gram of gold for US buyers
The card was already listed for preorder in Taiwan earlier. As we reported , buyers in Taiwan who purchased the eligible AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 INFINITY during Gigabyte’s event could register to receive 1 gram of 999 pure gold. The Taiwan listing was priced at NT$165,000, or around $5,250, which is almost identical to the new US listing.
