Gloway and KingBank launch 48GB DDR5 kits with China-made 24Gb chips
Gloway and KingBank have introduced new DDR5 UDIMM kits based on 24Gb, or 3GB, DRAM chips produced in China, according to a Chinese media report. The modules use an eight-die layout to reach 24GB per stick, resulting in 48GB kits with two modules. Glowy memory is rated for DDR5-6000 with CL36-38-38-80 timings and 1.25V. The modules use a custom heat spreader, a limited surface finish and 5 W/mK thermal pads.
The report says the Gloway kit is tuned for AMD platforms . The company previously offered 48GB DDR5 kits using SK Hynix memory, but the new version switches to domestic 24Gb DRAM chips.

KingBank is also moving to 24Gb DRAM with its Star Blade RGB series. The kit uses two 24GB modules and includes 2mm heat spreaders, thermal material over the PMIC and dual-sided RGB lighting with 16 LEDs. The shift to 24Gb chips gives memory vendors another path to 24GB desktop modules without using 32Gb ICs. For buyers, 48GB kits sit between 32GB and 64GB configurations, which may be useful for gaming systems that also handle heavier multitasking or content workloads.
This follows earlier reports on Chinese DRAM entering more DDR5 products . And they are not used by Chinese brands only, CXMT’s 16Gb and 24Gb DDR5 are used in Corsair Vengeance DDR5 modules .
Pricing and availability were not confirmed. The report also does not name the manufacturer of the 24Gb chips, so it is not yet clear whether these kits use CXMT DRAM or another domestic supplier.
