Radeon RX 9070 GRE finally sells enough units in Germany to appear on Mindfactory’s counter
Buyers still prefer the faster RX 9070
More than two weeks after launch, Radeon RX 9070 GRE sales in Germany are still hard to find. Mindfactory only shows a public sales counter after a product reaches a small sales threshold. Until now, most Radeon RX 9070 GRE listings did not even clear that bar.
That has finally changed. At least two models now show visible sales counters, which means they passed the “over 5 sold” mark. This is not exactly the kind of update AMD would print on a box. It simply means the card is no longer invisible in retailer data.

The problem has not changed since launch. The Radeon RX 9070 GRE is a cut-down RDNA 4 card with 48 Compute Units, 3072 Stream Processors, 12GB of GDDR6 memory, a 192-bit bus and 432 GB/s of bandwidth. The standard Radeon RX 9070 offers 56 Compute Units, 3584 Stream Processors, 16GB of memory and a 256-bit bus.
AMD launched the GRE at $549, which was also the launch price of the Radeon RX 9070. In Germany, early listings put the GRE around €559, while the faster Radeon RX 9070 was already available for similar or lower prices. That left the GRE with a difficult job: convince buyers to pay nearly the same money for less GPU. AMD somehow thinks this is great idea.

AMD needs to adjust Radeon RX 9070 GRE pricing soon. Otherwise, this card will not be remembered for its specs, but as one of the worst (if not the worst) Radeon launches in recent history.
