MSI has introduced the MAG Infinite Z 8B, a new 25-liter gaming desktop based on AMD processors and NVIDIA RTX 50 graphics
The system is listed with Windows 11 and four CPU options. MSI offers configurations with Ryzen 7 9700X, Ryzen 5 9600X, Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F processors.
AMD B840 platform with four CPU options
The desktop uses the AMD B840 chipset, which places it below B850 and X870-based systems in MSI’s AM5 lineup. The MAG Infinite Z 8B supports up to a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card .
MSI does not list exact GPU board models or lower GPU configurations yet. The memory configuration includes two DDR5-5200 U-DIMM slots with support for up to 64GB. Storage support includes two M.2 SSD slots using PCIe Gen4 x4, two 2.5-inch drive bays and one 3.5-inch drive bay.
For audio, MSI lists 7.1-channel HD Audio based on the Realtek ALC897 codec. Networking includes 2.5GbE, MediaTek MT7925 wireless and Bluetooth 5.4. The rear I/O includes four USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one 2.5GbE port, two Wi-Fi antenna connectors, HDMI 2.1, VGA and three audio jacks. The top panel has one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port, one microphone input and one headphone output.

25L case with 500W or 850W PSU options
The system uses a 25-liter chassis measuring 175 × 447.35 × 399.55 mm. MSI lists the net weight at 8.21 kg and gross weight at 10.24 kg. The retail box measures 586 × 323 × 511 mm. Cooling is handled by an air cooler. MSI also lists ATX 500W and ATX 850W power supply options, which will likely depend on the CPU and GPU configuration.
The accessory bundle includes a manual, quick start guide, warranty card, power cord, dust-proof bag and two tool-less thumbscrews. MSI also lists Drivers & MSI Utilities, MSI App Player, Norton 360 for Gamers trial, Xbox Game Pass trial, Dropbox trial and Adobe Creative Cloud trial as included software.
MSI has not confirmed pricing yet.
