GMKtec is preparing to launch the EVO-X3, a compact AI workstation powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU. Early access registration opens on June 22, while the global launch is scheduled for June 29 at 12:00 AM PST. The system will be sold through GMKtec’s official channels, but final pricing has not been confirmed yet.

The EVO-X3 uses the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, AMD’s Strix Halo APU with 16 Zen 5 cores and 32 threads. AMD lists boost clocks up to 5.1 GHz, Radeon 8060S integrated graphics with 40 graphics cores, and up to 126 TOPS of total AI performance.

The system also includes OCuLink over PCIe Gen4 x4 for external GPU expansion, USB4, HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 7, and support for Windows 11 Pro and Linux/Ubuntu. The company also advertises power modes up to 140W peak and a cooling system with a triple-fan design.

GMKtec’s material lists support for up to 128GB LPDDR5X memory and two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs. It says up to 16 TB of storage, if you somehow can afford MAX+395 with 128GB memory, perhaps buying 2x8TB storage is not an issue either.
