AMD Radeon RX 9000 prices may rise another 10-15% in Q3, NVIDIA partners have no notice yet
AMD Radeon RX 9000 graphics cards may face another price increase in the second half of the year, according to a post from Board Channels.
According to Board Channels memory suppliers continue to raise shipment quotes. This has reportedly increased pressure on both AMD and NVIDIA, since graphics cards are supplied to partners as GPU and VRAM kits.
For AMD, the post claims that Radeon GPU+VRAM bundle pricing may rise again from Q3 2026 or as early as July. The expected increase is said to be at least 10% to 15% , although the source clearly states that the information has not been confirmed.
NVIDIA appears to be in a different position for now. According to the same post, there is currently no new price increase notice from NVIDIA. AIC partners have reportedly not received any update, which leaves manufacturers and distributors to decide their own stock levels while they wait for more information.
AMD: Rumors suggest that AMD is considering the continued rise in graphics memory chip prices in the second half of the year, and the cost pressure on graphics memory is forcing an increase in the supply cost of AMD GPU + graphics memory kits. It is rumored that prices may continue to rise starting in Q3 or July, with an estimated increase of at least 10%-15%. None of this information has been confirmed.

There have been multiple reports about AMD price hikes before, but did prices really go up? They definitely never went lower, and Radeon RX 9000 cards never reached the MSRP levels that AMD promised more than a year ago. Instead, AMD launched the Radeon RX 9070 GRE at the same price as the RX 9070 non-XT, and it has been a sales disaster.
Perhaps AMD could subsidize Radeon GPU sales with the data-center revenue the company is so proud of.
