Intel Raptor Lake Next laptops to feature up to Core 9 SKU with 8+16 cores

Intel Core 200 (non-Ultra) “Raptor Lake Next” mobile lineup reportedly limited to HX series, up to Core 9 with 24 cores

Intel’s Raptor Lake Next refresh is apparently not limited to desktops. According to Jaykihn, the same lineup is also planned for laptops, but only under the HX series.

This means Intel is preparing high-power notebook processors based on Raptor Lake Next. There is no mention of H, P or U-series models. The lineup should therefore target gaming laptops, mobile workstations and other systems that already use desktop-class silicon.

We previously reported that Raptor Lake Next is the official codename for Intel’s next Core 200 refresh. That story focused mainly on desktop models for LGA-1700, with Intel reportedly planning compatibility with existing DDR4 and DDR5 platforms. The roadmap also pointed to production in late January 2027.

Mobile specs now appear

The mobile lineup is reportedly split into three HX configurations. The top model is listed as Core 9 with 8 Performance cores and 16 Efficient cores, for a total of 24 cores. This is the same core layout Intel already used for its high-end Raptor Lake HX parts.

No vPro/SIPP support

The Core 7 series would include two variants. One is listed with 8P+12E cores, while another is listed with 6P+8E cores. The latter is interesting because this configuration was previously associated with Core i5/Core 5-class HX processors.

The leak also mentions no vPro or SIPP support. This would suggest that Raptor Lake Next HX is not aimed at Intel’s business platform stack. It may instead serve as a consumer and gaming laptop refresh.

Intel has not announced Raptor Lake Next mobile processors yet. The branding is also not confirmed, but based on the desktop information, these laptop SKUs are expected to appear under the Core 200 series rather than Core Ultra.
