The shooting occurred at around 9am on Monday morning at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City.
“The victims were immediately transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment and appropriate medical intervention,” regional police said in a statement.
One suspect, classified as a Child In Conflict with the Law and a resident of Barangay San Jose, was arrested at the scene while the other later surrendered to authorities.
“The [police] have already caught the suspects. They acted quickly,” presidential spokeswoman Claire Castro told reporters.
Tacloban City police chief Noelito Getigan said the suspects used a .38-caliber and 9mm firearm in the shooting.
The shooting was the result of alleged bullying suffered by the suspects, he told the Manila Bulletin.
