LG Display supplies ASUS 24.5-inch 540Hz OLED monitor
LG Display is now reportedly part of ASUS’s gaming monitor panel supply chain, with the company supplying OLED panels for ASUS’s new ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace.
This does not appear to be new confirmation of the panel used by this specific monitor. ASUS announced the XG259QWPG Ace at Computex as a 24.5-inch Full HD Tandem WOLED monitor with a 540Hz refresh rate, and LG Display’s involvement in this panel was already known from Computex coverage.
LG and BOE may both supply ASUS
According to industry sources cited by DigiTimes, ASUS has signed a supply contract with LG Display for the 24.5-inch OLED gaming monitor panel.
The report claims ASUS originally expected to use only BOE panels, but later adopted a dual-source strategy with BOE and LG Display. It also claims BOE panels are expected for China, while LG Display panels are expected for global markets.

This would mean LG Display’s role may not be limited to a single monitor launch. It would instead place LGD inside ASUS’s gaming monitor supply chain, perhaps alongside BOE for future OLED esports displays.
The ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace uses a 1920×1080 TrueBlack Glossy Tandem WOLED panel, 540Hz refresh rate, 0.02 ms response time, VESA DisplayHDR 600 True Black certification, 99.5% DCI-P3 coverage, true 10-bit color and Delta E below 2.
ASUS has not confirmed retail pricing or availability for the XG259QWPG Ace yet.
