Yet another Strix Halo system with 128GB memory
No 16GB, 32GB or even 64GB option. The Strix Halo MAX+ 395 based system only ships with one memory config: 128GB.

128GB LPDDR5X and native OCuLink
GMKtec has launched the EVO-X3 mini PC in China, its latest compact workstation based on AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. The system is offered with 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory and starts at 21,699 RMB, which converts to around $3,200 before taxes and import fees.
As I was writing this post I noticed that while GMKtec does not announce or confirm any global pricing, their website already does. The new system will launch at $3600 in US store.
“SKU: EVO-X3-2-75S”
“Regular price $3,600.00”
“Sale price $3,600.00”
“DDR + SSD: 128GB RAM + 2TB SSD”

Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with 96GB configurable VRAM
The EVO-X3 uses the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, AMD’s Strix Halo APU with 16 Zen 5 cores and 32 threads. The chip includes Radeon 8060S integrated graphics with 40 RDNA 3.5 compute units and an XDNA 2 NPU. AMD lists total AI performance at up to 126 TOPS.

GMKtec pairs the APU with 128GB unified memory. The company says users can allocate up to 96GB as graphics memory, which is one of the main selling points for local AI workloads. The system is also preloaded with GMKtec Claw AI, advertised as a one-click local AI deployment tool.
Native OCuLink and dual PCIe 4.0 SSD slots
The mini PC uses a CNC-machined all-metal chassis with a vertical design. Storage is handled by two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, with support for up to 16TB. GMKtec also lists a cooling system with three copper heat pipes and three fans, along with silent, balanced and performance power modes.
The EVO-X3 includes native OCuLink for external graphics docks. GMKtec says the port supports GeForce RTX 40 and RTX 50 series desktop graphics cards with an additional eGPU dock. The system also supports AMD ROCm software, keeping the focus on local AI and GPU compute.

As we reported earlier , EVO-X3 teaser is also planned with Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 model with 192GB memory. Safe to say no average consumer will afford it. It’s a good design though, reminds me of a laptop without a battery and screen.
