AMD releases Adrenalin 26.6.3 hotfix for Windows 10 install issue
AMD has released a new Adrenalin 26.6.3 Hotfix Preview driver. This release targets an issue introduced with the previous Adrenalin 26.6.2 driver.
According to AMD, the hotfix fixes an intermittent installation issue affecting Windows 10 systems with Radeon RX 7000 series and newer graphics products. The company previously confirmed that some users could see a yellow bang in Device Manager after installing Adrenalin 26.6.2, with AMD Software failing to launch.
Windows 10 fix only
The 26.6.3 release does not add game support or new features. AMD lists only one fixed issue in the release notes, so this is a targeted hotfix rather than a full driver branch update.
AMD recommends using the AMD Cleanup Utility when downgrading to an earlier version of Adrenalin. The 26.6.3 Hotfix Preview driver supports Windows 11 version 21H2 and later, as well as Windows 10 64-bit version 21H2 and later.
© AMD The package includes driver version 26.10.21.04, with Windows Driver Store version 32.0.31021.4001. AMD also lists Adrenalin 26.6.2 driver version 25.10.43.19 and Ryzen AI NPU MCDM driver version 32.00.20102.3930 in the packaged contents.
If you are not on Windows 10, you can ignore this driver.
