AMD first X3D CPU has returned

AMD’s Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition has reached US retail. Newegg now has a dedicated product page for the AM4 processor with a $349 price, but the CPU is not sold separately, only in combination with other hardware (which is weird).

The listing confirms model number “100-100000651POF,” which is the new anniversary SKU. Such SKU is hard to find in the US, but in Germany there appears to be an excellent supply through multiple retailers.

The 10th Anniversary Edition keeps the same specifications as the original Ryzen 7 5800X3D. This means 8 Zen 3 cores, 16 threads, a 3.4 GHz base clock, boost up to 4.5 GHz, 96MB of L3 cache and a 105W TDP.

There is no integrated graphics, and the CPU cooler is not included. Newegg also confirms that the package includes the Carbice Ice Pad thermal interface material, which is one of the few differences from the original retail version.

AMD confirmed this re-release earlier this month with a $349 suggested retail price. As we already reported, the company had to re-engineer the chip for a newer 3D V-Cache stacking process, because the original production method was no longer available.
