Gigabyte lists B850 AORUS ELITE X3D motherboard with X3D Turbo Mode 2.0

Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE X3D motherboard appears with AGESA 1.3.0.1b BIOS

Gigabyte has listed a new AM5 motherboard under its AORUS lineup. The B850 AORUS ELITE X3D is now available on the company’s official website, which confirms support for AMD Ryzen 9000, Ryzen 8000 and Ryzen 7000 processors.

The board is based on the AMD B850 chipset and appears to have been adde to the website this weekend. Its support page lists BIOS F1 dated May 14, 2026 and BIOS F2a dated June 10, 2026. The newer BIOS updates the board to AMD AGESA 1.3.0.1b and optimizes AMD EXPO Ultra Low Latency support.

The board is not to be confused with AORUS B850 ELITE WIFI7:

  • B850 AORUS ELITE X3D 🆕: 16+2+2 VRM, 8+8 pin CPU power, 4 M.2 slots, two PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots, PCIe 4.0 x4 secondary slot, 5GbE LAN, 2 SATA ports.
  • B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 : 14+2+2 VRM, 8+4 pin CPU power, 3 M.2 slots, one PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots, 2.5GbE LAN, 4 SATA ports.

X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 on B850

The main feature is X3D Turbo Mode 2.0, which Gigabyte now lists directly on a B850 motherboard. The company says this mode uses a built-in AI model and hardware circuits to adjust X3D processor parameters in real time. It includes two profiles, Extreme Gaming Mode and Max Performance Mode.

Gigabyte also lists D5 Bionic Corsa and Zenith Memory features for DDR5 tuning. The official specifications confirm DDR5 memory support up to 8200 MT/s OC , four DIMM slots and up to 256GB total capacity.

Four M.2 slots and 5GbE LAN

The B850 AORUS ELITE X3D uses a 16+2+2 phase digital VRM desig n and two 8-pin CPU power connectors. The board has one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot from the CPU and one PCIe 4.0 x4 slot from the chipset.

Storage includes four M.2 slots. Two are CPU-attached PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots, while the other two are chipset-connected PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots. Gigabyte also includes two SATA 6Gb/s ports. One note on the specification page says the PCIe 4.0 x4 slot is disabled when a device is installed in the M2D_SB connector.

Networking is upgraded over some existing B850 AORUS ELITE models. The board has 5GbE LAN and Realtek Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4. The rear I/O also includes two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, optical S/PDIF and onboard buttons for reset, power, Clear CMOS and Q-Flash Plus.

Gigabyte has not yet listed pricing on the official product page.
