ASUS ROG Strix XG129C targets system monitoring with 12.3-inch touch display
ASUS has announced the ROG Strix XG129C, a compact secondary display designed for desktop monitoring, streaming controls and app shortcuts. The model is now available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The XG129C uses a 12.3-inch IPS panel with 1920×720 resolution and a 24:9 aspect ratio. ASUS says this format gives the screen more vertical space than some 32:9 portable displays.

The display supports 10-point touch input, 75Hz refresh rate, 300 cd/m² brightness and a 1,200:1 typical contrast ratio. ASUS lists 125% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 color coverage.

ASUS bundles the monitor with a one-year AIDA64 Extreme subscription. The company also includes two ROG SensorPanel interfaces, which turn the display into a real-time hardware monitoring panel.
USB-C single-cable setup
The XG129C can handle video, power and touch data through one USB-C cable. A second USB-C port supports 20W Power Delivery, while HDMI 1.2 is available for wider device compatibility.
The panel section measures 6.3 mm thick. ASUS includes an adjustable kickstand and a 1/4-inch tripod socket, so the display can be placed under a monitor or mounted separately.
ASUS prices the ROG Strix XG129C at €239.90 or CHF 239.90 including VAT.
