Nintendo Switch 2 screen revision reportedly listed by Chinese sellers.
A new Nintendo Switch 2 LCD module has appeared on Chinese reseller websites, suggesting that Nintendo may be preparing a revised display for its handheld console.
The information comes from Nintendo Patents Watch, which spotted a replacement LCD panel believed to be produced by Sharp. The current Switch 2 model is understood to use an Innolux panel, while the newly listed module appears to use a different circuit layout, connector and cable design.
Not compatible with current Switch 2 units
According to reseller listings, the new panel is marked for a “V2” Switch 2 model and is not cross-compatible with the current hardware revision. There is no confirmation that the panel changes display quality, response time, brightness or HDR behavior. The listing only points to a revised LCD module.

The part number mentioned in reports is LS079T1SX10P. Based on Sharp naming, the module is believed to remain a 7.9-inch LCD panel, matching the current Switch 2 display size. Nintendo’s official specifications list the handheld screen as a 7.9-inch 1920×1080 LCD with HDR10 support and VRR up to 120 Hz.
Display response time remains the main question
The Switch 2 LCD has been criticized for motion clarity since launch. Digital Foundry previously noted that the panel has worse motion blur than the 2017 Switch LCD, despite the higher 1080p resolution and 120 Hz support. That is why a panel revision will likely draw attention from owners. However, the reseller listing does not confirm whether the new Sharp panel improves response times.
Nintendo has not announced a new Switch 2 model with a revised display. The company has already confirmed that future EU versions will receive changes to comply with upcoming battery replacement rules, but there is no confirmed link between that update and this LCD module.
