NVIDIA’s rumored GeForce RTX 5050 9GB graphics card is not expected to launch soon, according to information VideoCardz has received from board partners. AIBs we contacted have not received any new launch details or updated schedules for this SKU.
AIBs have no new launch update
The card was previously rumored as a revised RTX 5050 model with 9GB of GDDR7 memory. Earlier reports suggested a 96-bit memory bus using 3GB GDDR7 modules, while keeping the same 2,560 CUDA core count as the standard RTX 5050. NVIDIA’s current official RTX 5050 specifications list 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit interface.
Our short inquiry was sparked by MEGAsizeGPU claims the RTX 5050 9GB is either canceled or permanently delayed. The leaker says NVIDIA reissued the GeForce RTX 3060 12GB for the same segment, which would make the RTX 5050 9GB less relevant for now. Worth noting that MEGAsizeGPU correctly mentioned that RTX 3060 will be re-released in June, which is now confirmed true.
I think it's canceled. Or permanently delayed. They reissued the 3060 12G for the same segment, so the 5050 9G will be meaningless for a while.

The 9GB model was always an unusual configuration. It would add only 1GB of memory over the 8GB RTX 5050, but it would also switch to GDDR7 and reduce the memory bus from 128-bit to 96-bit. Previous rumors listed 336 GB/s of bandwidth for the 9GB model, compared with 320 GB/s for the 8GB GDDR6 version.
For now, there is no indication that the RTX 5050 9GB is part of NVIDIA’s near-term launch plan. The SKU may still appear later if memory supply or pricing changes, but based on current AIB feedback, it is definitely not coming soon, and perhaps not coming at all. My take is that NVIDIA may have seen the feedback to earlier rumors and decided this configuration no longer makes sense, becasue it doesn’t, right?
