GMKtec G5S brings Jasper Lake CPU to a palm-sized mini PC
Small chassis, older Intel CPU
GMKtec has launched the G5S, a palm-sized mini PC now available in China. The system measures 72×72×44.5 mm and uses the same compact class of chassis as the company’s earlier NucBox models. Pricing starts at around $169.
The mini PC is based on Intel’s Celeron N5095. This is a Jasper Lake processor with four cores and four threads, so this is not a new platform. GMKtec pairs the chip with 8GB of LPDDR4 memory, which is not user-upgradable.

Storage is offered in two configurations. The base model has 128GB storage, while the higher-tier version includes 256GB. The system also has an M.2 2242 slot, so storage can still be replaced or expanded.
Compact ports, 10W cooling
Despite the small case, the G5S includes three USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet and a 3.5 mm audio jack. GMKtec also lists a copper heat pipe and a low-noise fan, with the processor configured for 10W operation.
The 128GB version has a launch price of CNY 1,149, or about $169. The 256GB version is listed at CNY 1,849, or around $272. GMKtec is expected to bring the G5S to global markets later, but international pricing has not been confirmed yet.
