Intel Arc Pro iGPUs can now allocate up to 59.5GB of shared memory on 64GB systems

The driver supports select Intel Core Ultra processors with integrated Arc Pro graphics from Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3. This is a new Arc Pro driver that essentially adds Core Ultra 3 (Panther Lake), compared to previous driver . According to Intel, these GPUs can now use variable increased graphics memory allocations on Windows 10 and Windows 11 host systems.
Up to 59.5GB on a 64GB system
Intel gives an example of a 64GB system where up to 93% of host memory can be dynamically allocated to the built-in Arc Pro GPU. This equals 59.5GB of working memory available to the iGPU.
This does not mean the integrated GPU has 59.5GB of dedicated VRAM. Built-in Arc Pro graphics still use system memory, which is shared with the CPU and limited by DDR or LPDDR bandwidth. The change is mainly useful for workloads that need larger GPU memory pools, such as workstation rendering, visualization or local AI tasks.

A previous Arc Pro workstation driver already raised the shared memory allocation limit to 87% for select Core Ultra Series 1 and 2 systems. The new release expands the feature to Series 3 and increases Intel’s listed example to 93%.
Intel also claims performance gains in SPECviewperf 15 at 1080p. The Blender test is listed with up to 15% higher average score on Arc Pro B-series GPUs and up to 5% on built-in Arc Pro GPUs in select Core Ultra Series 3 processors.
