ASUS NUC 16 Pro barebone pricing starts at €631 in Germany and Austria, Core Ultra 7 model costs €800

ASUS has confirmed pricing for the NUC 16 Pro, its new mini PC series based on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors.

The company lists the system as a compact Copilot+ PC with up to a Core Ultra X9 378H processor and Intel Arc B390 graphics. The series will be available in Germany and Austria through retailers and online stores, with prices including VAT.

Barebone kits start at €631

The lowest listed barebone model is the RNUC16GDKU560002. It uses the Core Ultra 5 325, a 45W Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor (that’s not WIldcat Lake, mind you). ASUS lists this model at €631 without memory, storage, or an operating system.

The next model is already much closer to premium mini PC pricing. The Core Ultra 7 356H version is listed at €800, also as a barebone unit. This configuration uses a 65W processor but still ships without RAM, SSD, or Windows.

The vPro barebone models are priced even higher. ASUS lists the Core Ultra 5 335 vPro model at €871, while the Core Ultra 7 366H vPro version costs €1,038. Both are still barebone kits, so the final system price will be higher once memory and storage are added.

Arc B390 models cost more than €1,600 as barebones

The higher-end NUC 16 Pro models use Intel Core Ultra X7 and X9 processors with Arc B390 graphics. These units include 32GB of LPDDR5-5600 memory, but ASUS still does not include storage or Windows in the barebone configuration. LPDDR5 memory means that the system cannot be upgraded (or downgraded afterwards), and it means one has to decide on memory capacity beforehand.

The Core Ultra X7 358H barebone is listed at €1,674. The Core Ultra X9 378H model costs €1,713. These prices put the Arc B390 versions well above many complete mini PCs based on previous-generation hardware.

ASUS also lists fully configured Windows 11 Pro Copilot+ PC systems. These start at €1,525 for the Core Ultra 5 325 model with 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen4 SSD. The Core Ultra 7 356H version with 32GB of memory and a 1TB SSD costs €1,962.

The complete Core Ultra X7 358H and Core Ultra X9 378H systems are priced at €2,491 and €2,542, respectively. Both include 32GB of LPDDR5 memory, a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, Arc B390 graphics, and Windows 11 Pro Copilot+ PC.

Panther Lake mini PCs are expensive, and ASUS is not making it easier to find a cheaper variant. It seems that the X7 and X9 models are locked to LPDDR5 memory, so there is no option to buy them without memory installed, even though the preinstalled modules are limited to 5600 MT/s.
