ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 Edition 20 reaches European retail at €6,499
The ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 has appeared at LDLC, one of the largest PC hardware retailers in France. The card is listed at €6,499.95, with availability shown within seven days. This is one of the highest public retail prices for an RTX 5090 in Europe. However, it is not the highest one we have seen.
The Edition 20 model is part of ASUS’ 20th anniversary Republic of Gamers lineup. Officially, this model should cost €5799 , as we reported based on ASUS official press release. ASUS announced this card at Computex 2026 alongside other themed components and accessories, all using the black, red and gold Edition 20 design.
The card itself is not just a recolored ROG Astral model. ASUS equipped it with a 6.67-inch 2K curved AMOLED display, which can show hardware data, animations and custom content. The card also has a transparent glass backplate and a 4.7-slot cooler with four Axial-tech fans.

RTX 5090 ROG Matrix is even more expensive
The ASUS ROG Matrix Platinum RTX 5090 is currently listed by some retailers starting from €6999 (3rd party sellers) and at €9539 from first party. To give you some context, €6499 is over $7400. That’s more than the RTX 5090 Dhahab that features real gold at launch. Yes, ASUS has a third model that surpassed the $7000 price.

At €6,499.95, the Edition 20 is priced above many complete gaming systems, but ASUS’ own ROG Matrix RTX 5090 remains the highest listed model in Europe.
You can buy an entire RTX 5090 PC for this price
Let me just end by saying that you can literally buy an entire gaming PC with high-end specs for less than any of the cards discussed here.

Are these ASUS models special? Definitely. The ROG Astral Edition 20, ROG Matrix Platinum and ROG Dhahab are limited models, not mainstream graphics cards. Still, it is hard to imagine paying this much for any GPU, and given the pace of new model releases from ASUS alone, even collectors may start wondering if they can keep up.
