A budget-oriented 16-inch laptop with an older NVIDIA GPU
GIGABYTE has launched its new EAGLE series gaming laptops in Taiwan.
The series is aimed at students, first-time gaming laptop buyers and users looking for a lower-cost system for gaming, school work and AI tools. The interesting part is the hardware choice. This is not an RTX 50 series laptop.
The current EAGLE GL6J configuration uses an AMD Ryzen 5 7533HS (Zen3 CPU) series processor and either GeForce RTX 3050 or GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU. The laptop also supports a MUX Switch, so users can switch between integrated and discrete graphics modes.

The laptop features a 16-inch WUXGA display with a 1920×1200 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 165Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB color coverage. The chassis supports a 180-degree lay-flat design and measures 19.59mm at its thinnest point. GIGABYTE also mentions WINDFORCE cooling, a 12V fan, 0dB fan behavior under lighter loads and its GiMATE AI assistant.
The EAGLE series supports dual SO-DIMM DDR5 memory slots with up to 64GB capacity. It also has two PCIe Gen4 M.2 SSD slots with up to 4TB storage support. The laptop supports USB-C Power Delivery 3.0, AC fast charging to around 50% in 30 minutes and up to 8 hours of battery life.
Only Taiwan for now
GIGABYTE says the EAGLE series is now available through selected retail channels and major e-commerce platforms in Taiwan. Pricing has not been confirmed in the press release.
