Colorful ECO HM770-K V20 brings 24-core Raptor Lake HX CPU to desktop board
Colorful has introduced the ECO HM770-K V20, a new MoDT motherboard with an onboard Intel Core i9-13900HX processor.
MoDT stands for Mobile on Desktop. In this case, it means Colorful is using a laptop-class Raptor Lake HX processor on a desktop motherboard. The CPU is integrated, so it cannot be upgraded like a standard LGA processor.
The Core i9-13900HX is a 24-core and 32-thread processor with 8 Performance cores and 16 Efficient cores. Intel specifies 36MB of cache and up to 5.4 GHz boost clock for this SKU.
The more interesting part is memory support. Unlike Colorful’s earlier BATTLE-AX HM770M-K WIFI D5 V20, which used DDR5 memory, the ECO HM770-K V20 comes with two DDR4 UDIMM slots. This should make the platform cheaper to configure, although Colorful has not confirmed pricing yet.

The board is nominally an M-ATX model, but it measures only 240 × 190 mm. This makes it narrower than a standard Micro-ATX motherboard and closer to Mini-ITX in width. For expansion, the ECO HM770-K V20 has one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and one PCIe 4.0 x1 slot. Storage support includes two M.2 slots, both wired for PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs.

Colorful also includes 2.5GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Rear I/O includes four USB-A 5Gbps ports, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2. The board also exposes headers for two additional USB-A 5Gbps ports.
This is another fixed-CPU desktop platform based on Intel HX silicon. It offers desktop expansion, standard memory slots and a compact layout, but CPU upgrades are not possible.
Pricing and retail availability have not been announced.
