ASUS joins MSI in validating Chinese CXMT DDR5 memory on AMD motherboards
ASUS has posted new test results for DDR5 memory kits based on CXMT DRAM.
The update was published through the ROG account in China as part of the ROG 20th Anniversary campaign. It shows the B850M AYW Gaming OC WiFi7 W motherboard running DDR5 memory from KingBank and Lexar at data rates above 8000 MT/s.
The highest result is listed for a KingBank 2x24GB DDR5-6000 RGB kit. ASUS shows this kit overclocked to DDR5-8400 CL42, with MT100% stability shown in the post. This kit uses CXMT 24Gb memory dies, which allow 24GB capacity per module.

ASUS also tested two Lexar THOR RGB kits based on CXMT 16Gb memory dies . A 2x16GB DDR5-7600 kit is shown at DDR5-8200 CL44, while a 2x16GB DDR5-7200 kit is shown at DDR5-8000 CL40.
The results were achieved on BIOS version 1686. This BIOS is already available publicly through ASUS global support pages, so it is not limited to the Chinese market. However, ASUS has not yet updated its official DDR5 QVL for the board with these CXMT-based kits.
This follows a similar update from MSI, which recently showed CXMT-based DDR5 memory running on AMD motherboards. For now, both vendors are showing public validation results, but official QVL support still appears to be catching up.
