AMD Plum-MDS1 platform appears with faster 10-core Zen 6 APU benchmark
AMD Medusa Point 10-core APU reportedly beats Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 in Geekbench

AMD’s next-generation Medusa Point APU has appeared again in the Geekbench database, this time with a much higher score than the earlier result from March.
The new entry is listed under the AMD Plum-MDS1 platform. This is the same platform name used by the earlier engineering sample leak. Geekbench identifies the processor as AMD Eng Sample 100-000001713-33_N, with 10 cores and 20 threads.
The chip posted 3174 points in the single-core test and 15092 points in the multi-core test in Geekbench 6.6.0 for Windows AVX2. The previous entry showed 2300 single-core and 13002 multi-core points. That means the new result is around 38% higher in single-core and around 16% higher in multi-core.

Faster than HX 370 and MAX+395 in single-core test
The earlier score was already ahead of Ryzen AI 9 365 in multi-core. The new score goes further and also clears Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, which is listed at 2605 points in single-core and 13396 points in multi-core. That puts the new Medusa Point result around 22% ahead in single-core and around 13% ahead in multi-core. The single-core score is also higher than MAX+395, but it is behind in mulit-core, but not as much as the core count would seem to suggest.

Geekbench lists the engineering sample with a 2.00 GHz base clock and a maximum reported frequency of 2063 MHz. These clock readings are almost certianly not accurate, since early engineering samples are often misreported by benchmark software. The cache layout shown by Geekbench includes 10 MB of L2 cache and 32 MB of L3 cache.
Medusa Point is expected to be AMD’s next-generation mobile APU platform based on Zen 6 CPU cores. The Geekbench entry also shows AVX512-FP16 and AVX-VNNI instruction support.
