AMD’s Ryzen 7 4700LE is now shipping in a $799 RTX 3050 desktop
I wasn’t really planning to write about Zen2 CPUs in 2026, but here we are. AMD has recently released a new SKU and it appears that it wasn’t just a paper launch or someone adding a missing spec for otherwise quite old architecture.
On Amazon, a new prebuilt gaming desktop on Amazon with AMD’s Ryzen 7 4700LE processor has been listed. The system pairs the OEM-only AM4 CPU with a GeForce RTX 3050 8GB, 16GB of DDR4-3200 memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD. The listing shows a price of $799.99, down from $849.99.
4700LE: Zen 2 returns in 2026
The Ryzen 7 4700LE is not a new architecture. AMD introduced the processor on March 25, 2026, but the part is based on Renoir and uses Zen 2 CPU cores. AMD lists the chip with 8 cores, 16 threads, PCIe 3.0 support, dual-channel DDR4 memory and no integrated graphics, which means a discrete GPU is required.
We covered the 4700LE last mont h when AMD added the part to its public product stack. The CPU has a 3.6 GHz base clock, up to 4.2 GHz boost clock and a 65W default TDP. It is listed as an OEM-only desktop processor for AM4 systems.
The system is a clear mix of older gaming PC components. It uses an AM4 Ryzen 4000-series CPU, DDR4 memory and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3050 , a card that has remained available in several desktop configurations. The listing also mentions WiFi 6, six RGB fans and DOS as the operating system.
This is not a high-end configuration, but it is an unusual retail sighting for a processor that AMD only recently added despite its older architecture. The platform brings back a familiar AM4 setup in 2026, now attached to a $799 prebuilt gaming PC with entry-level RTX graphics.
