TCL launches 27-inch Mini LED monitor with 1080Hz at 720p
TCL has released the 27P2A Ultra gaming monitor in China for 3,999 yuan, or around $555. The 27-inch Mini LED model supports two resolution and refresh-rate combinations, including 2560 × 1440 at 550Hz and 1280 × 720 at 1080Hz.
The retail model increases the maximum refresh rate compared with the version TCL announced in March . As we reported at the time, TCL originally advertised 550Hz at QHD and an overclocked 1040Hz mode at a lower resolution. The final product listing now specifies 1080Hz at 720p.
The display uses a TCL CSOT HFS Shoot IPS-type panel with Mini LED backlighting and 180 local dimming zones. It reaches a stated peak brightness of 800 nits and carries VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. The panel supports 8-bit color with FRC, covering 95% of DCI-P3 and 99% of sRGB.

Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 connection and a 3.5mm audio output. The monitor also supports AMD FreeSync, a stated 1ms response time, height adjustment, rotation and a 100 × 100mm VESA mount. The complete unit weighs 6.4kg.
There is a small discrepancy within the retail material. TCL’s marketing advertises 550Hz at QHD, while the structured JD.com specification table lists 540Hz.
The monitor is currently sold through TCL’s official JD.com store in China, with no confirmed availability for North America or Europe.
