ASUS V500 Mini Tower uses Ryzen 7040-era silicon, GeForce RTX 5060 option to follow
The first €599 configuration uses Ryzen 5 220 and integrated Radeon 740M graphics.
ASUS has launched the V500 Mini Tower in Germany and Austria. The first configuration includes an AMD Ryzen 5 220 processor, 16GB of DDR5 memory, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD and Windows 11 Home. It is available for €599.
ASUS also lists two Ryzen 7 260 configurations priced at €649 and €719. These systems are expected to become available later. The product page advertises support for up to GeForce RTX 5060 graphics, but ASUS has not confirmed which configuration includes the discrete GPU. No RTX 5060 version is currently listed for purchase.
The Ryzen 200 branding is newer than the underlying silicon. The Ryzen 7 260 is effectively a renamed Ryzen 7 8845HS, with the same eight Zen 4 cores, 3.8 GHz base clock, 5.1 GHz boost clock, 45W TDP, Radeon 780M graphics and 16-TOPS NPU. This design traces back to the Ryzen 7 7840HS from the mobile Ryzen 7040 series, which used the Phoenix architecture.
The Ryzen 5 220 is a lower-power mobile processor with two Zen 4 cores and four Zen 4c cores. It supports 12 threads, operates at a default 28W TDP and includes Radeon 740M graphics with four compute units. Unlike the Ryzen 7 260, this processor does not include a Ryzen AI NPU.

The V500 Mini Tower supports up to 64GB of DDR5-5600 memory through two SO-DIMM slots. It also provides two M.2 2280 storage connectors, one SATA port and a PCIe 4.0 x16 expansion slot. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C and several USB-A ports.
The chassis measures 35.7 cm tall and weighs 6 kg. The currently published specification lists a 180W 80 PLUS Bronze power supply, suggesting that the GeForce RTX 5060 configuration may use a different power arrangement.
ASUS has not released the full specifications or availability date for that model.
