ASUS announces 27-inch triple-mode gaming monitor with 488Hz overclock
ASUS is preparing a triple-mode monitor for the ROG 20th anniversary. Pricing and availability have not yet been confirmed.
ASUS has announced a new 27-inch ROG gaming monitor with three resolution and refresh-rate modes. The model was shown in China as part of the company’s ROG 20th anniversary product lineup.
The monitor uses a Fast IPS panel and runs at 3840×2160 with a 240Hz refresh rate in its native mode. Users can switch to 2560×1440 at 400Hz or 1920×1080 at up to 488Hz through overclocking.
Three display modes on one panel
The FHD setting retains a full 1920×1080 resolution. This differs from some recent multi-mode monitors that reach higher refresh rates by reducing the resolution to 1280×720. Such an example is Philips Evnia monitor .

ASUS also advertises a three-level pixel enhancement feature intended to adjust image sharpness. Gaming functions include a dynamic crosshair and dynamic shadow enhancement, although ASUS has not explained how these features operate.
Connectivity includes DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C. ASUS has not confirmed the exact port count, USB-C power delivery rating, response time, brightness or adaptive-sync specifications.
ASUS has not announced its international product name, price or release date.
