Intel Core Ultra 5 245K drops to $179.99, $40 below current 250K Plus pricing

The 14-core Arrow Lake processor is now $40 cheaper than the Core Ultra 5 250K Plus

The Intel Core Ultra 5 245K is now available for $179.99 through Amazon US. Amazon is selling and shipping the processor directly, with the listing showing a typical price of $194.99.

Intel originally set the tray price at $309 and the boxed Recommended Customer Price at $319. The current Amazon deal is therefore $139 below the boxed launch price, representing a reduction of around 44%. Well, we all know how unlikely were people to pay the original price, so this SKU got a very quick price cut to $200-ish price.

The Core Ultra 5 245K features 6 P-cores and 8 E-cores, providing 14 cores in total. The unlocked LGA-1851 processor boosts up to 5.2 GHz and supports Intel 800-series motherboards.

The discount also follows Intel’s recent pricing update for the newer Core Ultra 5 250K Plus. Intel announced that processor in March with pricing starting at $199, but its current Recommended Customer Price has increased to between $219 and $229.

Amazon currently sells the Core Ultra 5 250K Plus for $219.99. This makes the discounted Core Ultra 5 245K around $40 cheaper, although the newer Plus model offers a higher core count.
