HKC details 31.4-inch and 27-inch RGB MiniLED monitors with up to 4,788 dimming zones

HKC has released the full specifications for its Apex 32U165VD and Apex 27U165D gaming monitors at BW2026. The company previously demonstrated both models at Computex 2026, describing them as the first 31.4-inch and 27-inch monitors to use RGB MiniLED backlighting.

Both displays support two operating modes. Users can select 3840×2160 at 165 Hz or 1920×1080 at 330 Hz. The panels also use a low-reflection surface with a claimed reflectivity below 1.8%.

Up to 4,788 RGB MiniLED zones

The 31.4-inch Apex 32U165VD has 4,788 RGB lighting control zones. HKC claims up to 1,400 nits of HDR peak brightness and 700 nits across the full screen. Color coverage reaches 99.9% DCI-P3, 98% BT.2020, 99.9% Adobe RGB and 100% sRGB.

The 32U165VD includes DisplayPort 2.1 and two USB-C ports with up to 98W and 15W power delivery. The smaller Apex 27U165D uses 3,456 control zones, covers 95% of BT.2020 and includes a USB-C port with 90W power delivery. Both monitors use HKC’s color-control processor with a claimed 114-bit control precision.

HKC also presented the Apex 27Q320B, a 27-inch gaming monitor based on Samsung Display’s fourth-generation QD-OLED panel. It uses a five-layer Penta Tandem structure, supports 2560×1440 at 320 Hz and has a quoted 0.03 ms GtG response time.

The 27Q320B includes an OptiShield low-reflection and scratch-resistant coating. It covers 99% of DCI-P3 and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and ClearMR 18000 certifications.

HKC has not confirmed prices or release dates for any of the three monitors.
