AMD Radeon driver exposes Multi Frame Generation ratios up to 8X, but the feature does not work yet
RadeonTuner exposes experimental AMD driver settings from 1X to 8X.
AMD appears to be preparing a Multi Frame Generation feature with selectable ratios reaching 8X. The options were exposed through RadeonTuner, a third-party application that provides access to Radeon driver settings without requiring the full AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition package.
The RadeonTuner source code contains AMD driver profile properties named MfgOverride and MfgRatio . Its interface maps the ratio setting to application-controlled mode followed by 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, 6X, 7X and 8X options . The application identifies the feature as FSR Multi Frame Generation and limits the experimental control to RDNA 4 or newer graphics cards.
These settings are not enabled by default. RadeonTuner only displays them after users activate its experimental settings option. Tests performed with a Radeon RX 9060 XT across games including Forza Horizon 6, Pragmata, Resident Evil 9, Crimson Desert and Death Stranding 2 did not produce working Multi Frame Generation.

RadeonTuner developer Dumbie explained that AMD sometimes adds profile values to its drivers months before implementing the code required to make them functional. This allows the application to prepare its interface before AMD officially activates the feature.
The MFG override doesnt seem to work and been testing in multiple games
AMD sometimes adds setting values to the driver that hints at upcoming features without adding the actual feature (code to make the setting work) months ahead of the official release, like MFG in this case.
This allows me to prepare RadeonTuner in advance for when those features actually get released, those settings will only be visible when you enable the ‘Show Experimental Settings’ option which I added for testing.

AMD MFG already teased
The discovery follows our April report about AMD’s ADLX 1.5 documentation. AMD added a FidelityFX Frame Generation Upgrade interface with functions for reading, listing and setting frame generation ratios. The documentation did not call the feature Multi Frame Generation or disclose which ratios would be supported. The RadeonTuner values now provide the first indication that AMD has experimented with ratios reaching 8X.
AMD has not announced 8X Multi Frame Generation for current Radeon graphics cards. The company has confirmed that its next-generation FSR Diamond technology will include ML-based Multi Frame Generation , but it has not disclosed its maximum ratio or confirmed whether these driver values are connected to that project. An 8X ratio would conventionally represent one rendered frame and up to seven generated ones, although AMD has not documented how its setting would operate.
As of today, AMD FSR has no Multi-Frame-Gen support, however AMD has already launched Frame Generation, which adds 2x more frames.
