Thermaltake CAPO X saves desk space by stacking two PCs
Thermaltake has released the CAPO X, the dual-system chassis we first covered during Computex 2026. The PC 2 is now one step closer to reality, and it has an official price.
Two PCs take the space of one
The case fits two separate Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX systems in a stacked layout. Each computer receives five expansion slots, its own power supply and an independent front I/O panel with USB Type-C, two USB Type-A ports and audio. The case supports graphics cards up to 420 mm long and CPU coolers up to 180 mm tall.
Thermaltake specifically promotes the CAPO X for couples, roommates or friends sharing one desk. It can also separate gaming and streaming workloads or keep an AI system apart from the main computer. For users with limited floor or desk space, fitting two full systems into one tower is a practical use of the vertical space.

Space savings come with one shared point of failure
The design becomes harder to recommend when there is enough room for two conventional cases. The computers remain electrically independent, but both occupy the same chassis and cooling area. A liquid-cooling leak, damaged case or maintenance requiring the entire tower to be disconnected can affect access to both systems.

Each computer also relies on its own power supply, with no built-in failover between them. A failed PSU should not shut down the second computer, but it cannot borrow power from the working unit. Two separate cases provide better physical separation and make it easier to repair, move or upgrade one system without disturbing the other.
The CAPO X therefore makes the most sense for a shared desk where space is the main restriction. The chassis itself is not unusually expensive for its size and hardware support, but combining two computers into one enclosure trades redundancy and serviceability for a smaller footprint.
The CAPO X is listed in Taiwan for NT$5,990, equivalent to around $186 before tax. Both the black and Snow versions carry the same price. Thermaltake has not confirmed US or European pricing.
