Lenovo ThinkStation P5 Gen 2 reaches global stores with Xeon 600 and RTX PRO GPUs
Dual RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell support is planned.

Lenovo has started selling the ThinkStation P5 Gen 2 workstation across the US, Europe, Australia and Hong Kong. The 33-litre tower supports Intel Xeon 600 processors, up to 1TB of ECC memory and multiple NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs.
The processor range extends from the 12-core Xeon 634 to the Xeon 678X with 48 cores, 96 threads and 192MB of cache. The system uses Intel’s W890 chipset and provides eight DDR5 RDIMM slots with four memory channels. Lenovo supports up to eight 128GB DDR5-6400 modules, although some processor configurations limit memory speeds to 5200 MT/s.

Current configurations are available with up to an NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell carrying 72GB of GDDR7 ECC memory. Lenovo’s specifications also list the 96GB RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q Workstation Edition. The company previously announced support for two of these cards, providing up to 192GB of combined VRAM.

Up to eight PCIe 5.0 SSDs
The ThinkStation P5 Gen 2 can accommodate up to eight M.2 PCIe 5.0 SSDs and three 3.5-inch drives at the same time. An alternative configuration supports four M.2 drives and four 3.5-inch drives. Each M.2 slot supports drives with capacities of up to 4TB, while the 3.5-inch bays accept drives of up to 12TB.
Lenovo offers 750W and 1000W power supplies. The 1000W version includes two native 12VHPWR connections and is required for most dual-GPU configurations. GPU support also depends on processor power, with Lenovo limiting 300W professional cards to one unit when paired with Xeon models rated above 250W.
US pricing starts at $5,999. Lenovo’s regional stores list starting prices between €3,839 and €4,264 in the Eurozone, £3,630 in the UK and AUD 6,079 in Australia. Fully configured systems with 1TB of memory can exceed $300,000, although the dual RTX PRO 6000 option does not appear to be widely available yet.
