PALIT confirms GeForce RTX 3060 relaunch with new Infinity 2 OC model
PALIT has officially announced the GeForce RTX 3060 Infinity 2 OC, adding a newly designed graphics card to NVIDIA’s revived Ampere lineup. This appears to be the first board partner announcement clearly tied to the RTX 3060 production restart , rather than another retailer restocking an existing model.
Reports in March claimed that Samsung Foundry had restarted production of the GA106 GPU using its 8nm process. RTX 3060 cards subsequently returned to stores in China and Europe, but these were mostly existing designs that had already been sold during the original production cycle.
A new RTX 3060 model for 2026
The Infinity 2 OC is a new PALIT model based on the GeForce RTX 3060 12GB. It uses an all-black dual-fan cooler with a ventilated backplate and a flow-through section behind the heatsink. The fans support PALIT’s 0dB mode and stop during light workloads.

The card retains 12GB of GDDR6 memory, which remains its main advantage over newer entry-level GeForce models with 8GB. PALIT is promoting the capacity for video editing, 3D work and local AI workloads, in addition to 1080p gaming.
This is still the same Ampere GPU generation introduced in 2021. The card does not gain newer features such as DLSS Frame Generation or Multi Frame Generation, but its larger memory configuration gives board partners another option for systems where VRAM capacity takes priority over newer architecture features.
There are two models, the OC variant is overclocked to 1792 MHz (just a 0.8% overclock). PALIT has not confirmed the price, launch date or regional availability.
